Pulmonologist Dr. Essam Ansari Joins Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center’s Medical Team
Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center announced the recent addition of Essam Ansari, M.D., an experienced pulmonologist, to its medical team.
Dr. Ansari is a physician leader with a passion for patient safety, quality care and patient experience. He also has experience in process improvement and his medical practice focus areas include pulmonary, critical care and sleep disorders, asthma and COPD. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the region.
The cardiopulmonary care team at Chestnut Woods offers a wide range of treatments and therapies designed to help patients achieve the most active life possible despite any cardiopulmonary diagnoses and physical limitations.

He will help us continue to provide high-quality care to residents and patients with cardiopulmonary diseases like COPD and lung cancer,” said Gabby Sechio, Administrator of Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Ansari did his internal medicine, pulmonary, and critical care medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also received a master’s degree in public health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and an MBA from Boston University. He is board-certified in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine, and is a sleep medicine specialist.
