Chestnut Woods Earns Five-Star Quality Rating from CMS

Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center today announced that it has achieved a five-star quality rating – the highest rating possible – from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

The Five-Star Quality Rating System was developed by CMS to help consumers compare nursing homes with a scoring system focused on three areas: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.  Nursing homes with five stars are considered to have “much above average” quality.

“It is a great responsibility to be trusted by families with the care of their loved ones,” said Charlene Kernen, administrator of Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.  “We pride ourselves in the expertise of our entire care team and their ability to make our residents and families feel right at home.  Receiving a five-star rating from CMS is an honor and validates the quality of our staff and our center.”

Chestnut Woods has strong partnerships with nearby hospitals throughout the North Shore and Greater Boston area, and the center’s experienced medical team offers a variety of high quality advanced clinical services including subacute rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, long-term care and respite care.

Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center provides the North Shore with the highest levels of subacute short-term and comprehensive long-term care in a compassionate and caring environment.  The 88-bed center is proudly serviced by Marquis Health Consulting Services, which provides administrative and consulting services to skilled nursing facilities and senior housing communities along the Eastern Seaboard
